Every year on September 4, Northeast Florida comes together to show love for the place we call home.
904 Day is a grassroots celebration of local pride. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together to uplift the local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and artists that make the 904 area so special.
904 Day History
While the first mentions of #904Day started organically on social media, the celebration gained momentum in 2021 when local partners—including the City of Jacksonville, WJCT Public Media, Downtown Vision, Inc., JAX Chamber, Visit Jacksonville, the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Wingard—joined forces to amplify the idea.
Since then, the committee has grown to include additional partners like the Downtown Investment Authority, the Jacksonville Daily Record, 904 Happy Hour, The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, and LOL JAX Film Fest.
The 904 has plenty of arts and culture destinations for visitors and residents to experience.
Downtown Jacksonville is a great place for cyclists to explore.
But here’s the thing: 904 Day only works if the community shows up.
From small businesses offering local deals and nonprofit organizations sharing their mission, to proud locals posting photos of their favorite neighborhoods, murals, parks, and restaurants, it’s powered by participation. If you’re passionate about where you live, you’re part of what makes 904 Day meaningful.
